TIG welding is a process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode (known as "Wolfram" in German) to produce the arc. An inert gas, most commonly Argon, is used to shield the weld pool from atmospheric contamination. Because of this, welders often refer to TIG welding as "Argon Welding." The technique is similar to gas welding, requiring the use of both hands: one hand holds the TIG torch while the other feeds the filler rod into the weld pool.

Red Tip (Thoriated): Used for welding carbon steel, stainless
steel, nickel, and titanium. It provides high current capacity and excellent arc
stability.
Gold Tip (Lanthanated): Similar to the red tip but versatile for
both DC and AC currents. A key advantage is that it is non-radioactive and does not
release harmful substances, making it safer for long-term use.
Green Tip (Pure Tungsten): Composed of pure tungsten. It is the
preferred choice for welding aluminum and magnesium alloys using AC current. It
maintains a balled tip, so there is no need for sharpening.
Gold Tip Tungsten electrodes are suitable for welding all types of metals. They can be used with both DC and AC currents and are excellent for repetitive arcing or PULSE welding. They produce low fumes and contain no substances harmful to your health.
Red Tip Tungsten electrodes provide powerful arc performance with a stable current discharge. They offer superior arc starting and a more consistent current compared to other tungsten types. They perform well with both DC and AC currents, providing excellent weld penetration.
Gray tungsten welding electrode, suitable for DC welding at low current. Can be used for aluminum welding with AC current. Suitable for welding thin workpieces or for automatic welding.
Green tungsten welding electrode. Made of pure tungsten and suitable for aluminum welding. Non-radioactive. Performs better than other colors when using low-current DC. Provides a stable arc and deep weld penetration. No need to grind the tip before use.
